Ouanessa Boubsil is a faculty and Manager of Institutional Research and Assessment at University of Maryland, Global Campus (UMGC). She brings over 30 years of college level experience, teaching in various disciplines including database systems, information systems, information assurance, financial accounting, managerial accounting and General and Engineering Management.


She holds a BS in Organization Management from the ‘École Supérieure de Commerce’ of the University of Algiers, an MBA with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Case Western Reserve University and she is ABD for a PhD degree in Information Systems at Stevens Institute of technology.


In the last fifteen years, she carried out applied research in course and program evaluations, learner satisfaction and retention and faculty performance. She continues to push cutting edge uses of evaluation surveys and analysis to improve the quality of institutional data to inform decision making.


Ouanessa Boubsil presents regularly at distance education conferences and other forums. Topics she has published in include distance education theories, simulations, evaluation metrics and educational learning assessment.
